People’s Convergence Centre(s)
Looking for a schedule of events? Just rolled into town and wondering about places to stay? Feeling hungry? Want to find out more about Resisting Atlantica and alternatives? Drop by the People’s Convergence Centre!
The main Convergence Centre will be open daily from Thursday to Saturday, June 14-16, 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. Located at the Khyber Club, 1588 Barrington Street in downtown Halifax, the Centre will include, among other things, an information hub with literature and maps, a workshop space for workshops and seminars, an all-day free food serving site, and a performance/art space on resistance. Please feel free to stop by or call the Centre during opening hours: 902.221.0703; We sincerely apologize, this space is not wheelchair accessible.
Also, there will be an auxiliary Convergence space in Halifax’s North End located at the office of the Halifax Coalition Against Poverty, 2420 Agricola St. Opening hours are 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm, June 14-16. Information will be on-hand for those seeking details on activities and locations. This space is wheelchair accessible.
